MONO NO AWARE is a non-profit organization working to promote the cinematic experience through art, film and literature. We offer rental packages of analog filmmaking equipment to the greater New York City community. All the necessary gear to shoot, edit and project 16mm and Super-8mm films are available to rent for affordable rates.

Rental Policies:
+ All rental requests must be made to and responded to by MONO NO AWARE 48 hours in advance of the rental date.
+ A daily rental is defined by picking up one day and returning by the end of the following day. (i.e. a rental request for a camera on Tuesday will be picked up on Monday and returned at the end of the day on Tuesday. If you are looking to shoot on Tuesday night, a solution would be to pick up Tuesday early day for the evening and return at your leisure on Wednesday)
+ Gear must be picked up by the person/member using the equipment and must provide a current photo ID (valid driver’s license or passport) when signing the rental agreement form.

EIKI SSL-O 16mm Film Projector

The Eiki SSL-O (Super Slim Line) is a portable 16mm projector with internal optical sound amplification and also an 1/8" mono output. It comes standard with a 50mm lens, but Eiki 38mm and 25mm lenses are available upon request (for an additional $10/day). All projectors have been cleaned and well maintained.
