Sam is a New York City based Director of Photography and is very meticulous about the details of his work. He believes that a frame is the canvas and that the Director of Photography paints with light.

Sam was first introduced to cinematography when he would film his friends skateboarding in elementary school. At the time, in a search for the most pleasant, proper, or 'cinematic' image, he was led into the documentary and narrative worlds of filmmaking. He later received a BFA degree from Pratt Institute's film program and was awarded 'A Celebration of Excellence' award upon graduating. As his understanding for the craft and experience improved, he found himself as a DoP on many narrative sets and commercial sets for clients such as Red Bull, Scout Media, Draft Kings, and many more.

Sam's craft is his life's passion and he always becomes very invested in projects he is involved with. He likes to work very closely with the Director in pre-production, production, and post-production in order to figure out an aesthetic look that brings the Director's vision to life and helps tell or show the Director's story in the most compelling way possible.
