This Ronin package is packed with goodies. It has the option to come with a wireless thumb controlled follow focus system so that your shot can always stay in focus. It also comes with cinemilled pro dove tail and counterweight system to give you the most flexibility when using whatever set up you want to use.

A 3-Axis brushless gimbal stabiliser from DJI, featuring heavy duty brushless motors designed to carry large and small cameras. Supplied with 2 x batteries and charger. Now also supplied with Extension Arms to allow for the use of bigger cameras and with a reduced setup time; for Sony FS7, FS700, RED EPIC Dragon, C300 MKII, etc.

With a frame built entirely from Carbon Fiber, you can put many types of camera on here from a RED EPIC, EPIC Dragon or SCARLET to Canon C300 or C100, Sony FS7 and FS700, Blackmagic and Canon 5D MK3, EOS-1DC or any DSLR!

The DJI Ronin supports dual-operator shooting using the radio controller (supplied), this enables the pan and tilt to be operated by a second person whilst the Ronin ‘flyer’ concentrates on moving with the rig, etc. It is a great system and we love it! We can also supply it with our Paralinx Wireless HD System and our Remote Wireless Follow Focus, what a combination!

You can calibrate, balance and change operation modes on the Ronin using the DJI Assistant on your iPhone, Android smartphone or iPad / Android tablet. DJI Assistant software is also available for Mac and PC. The software makes things much easier!

The stabiliser can accommodate any camera weighing up to 7.5KG (max payload). It is supplied with a dedicated stand, which is essential when balancing the unit.

For first time users and with all Steadicam / gimbal stabiliser units we recommend hiring for an extra day before your shoot, where you can spend time perfecting the balance and spend a few hours practising with the kit. Practise really does makes perfect.

We run a training course with the stabiliser at our premises, please enquire about dates and rates. You can learn how to use and balance the stabiliser from one of our experienced operators.

You can hire just the stabilizer or the stabilizer with an operator.

The Ronin 3-Axis Brushless Gimbal Stabilizer from DJI is a camera stabilization system designed to give the operator close to the freedom of unencumbered handheld shooting but without the hand-shake. Suitable for most camera types and configurations up to 16 pounds, Ronin uses brushless motors that work on three axes: one for side-to-side "roll" - keeping the horizon level - one for tilt, and one for pan. The system is computer-controlled and boasts a precision of control of ±0.02°. An IMU (inertial measurement movement) detects movement and engages the motors to react, using algorithms to differentiate between intentional movement such as pans and tracking shots from unwanted shake. In addition to handheld shooting, the gimbal can be used in vehicle mounting scenarios and other contexts where vibrations or other abrupt movements would make tripods and rigid camera support systems unsuitable.

The Ronin supports dual-operator shooting, much like working with a jib that has a motorized pan/tilt head. In this mode, a second operator would use the included transmitter (radio controller) to manually control camera pan and tilt independently of which way the Ronin moves. The included transmitter/receiver system operates on 2.4 GHz and is proprietary. If you prefer to use a third-party transmitter there is a D-Bus port on the Ronin to install your own receiver.

As with sled and vest style stabilizers, motorized gimbal systems require balancing before use. Once balanced, you can configure the Ronin for your particular camera arrangement using the Assistant Software for compatible iOS and Windows (Desktop) devices with Bluetooth. Because every camera and lens combination has a different mass and weight distribution, there is an ATS (Auto Tune Stability) procedure in which each axis will adjust individually, repeating the process until all three are aligned. A gimbal tuning stand is provided so you won't have to hand-hold the rig during this process.

Use the Ready Rig GS Stabilizer + ProArm Kit to transfer the weight of a gimbal-mounted camera away from an operator's arms and shoulders. By redistributing the load to the user's hips and core, this rig enables you to extend your shooting time and lessens operator fatigue. It also reduces the bounce motion sometimes seen during handheld gimbal shots. The Ready Rig GS Stabilizer works with any gimbal in standard or underslung mode.
The Ready Rig ProArms increase the basic GS Stabilizer's load range from 30 to 40 pounds. They telescope from 23 to 37", producing an effective boom range of 55". For greater operating convenience, the ProArms also feature 1/4"-20 and 3/8-16" threads, enabling you to mount an onboard monitor to either arm.

The Ready Rig GS with ProArms features a load capacity range of 1 to 40 pounds, carbon fiber support arms, and an aluminum frame. Its slim, compact profile suits it for use in tight spaces and car interior shots. A soft, zippered carrying case is included with this kit.
