This 85mm prime has hybrid aspherical lenses that make for sharply defined images with a minimum of distortion and chromatic aberrations. OWNER NOTES

This lens is crystal clear and the focus and T stop rings are buttery smooth. It performs exceptionally in low light and adds a beautiful cinematic sharpness to my documentary and branded content videos. I got rid of my more expensive Zeiss lenses when I found the Rokinon Cine line. Rokinon has maybe 95 percent of the optical performance of Zeiss in terms of edge sharpness, but that extra five percent on the Zeiss lenses made my subjects look hyper-realistic and a little ugly. The Rokinon Cine line is pound for pound the best lens in the business.

I am based in The Bronx, near Yankee Stadium.

Shows some usage. I bought this lens during the spring of 2015.
This lens has been used to film interviews, a short film, and a web series.

In addition to videography, this lens is a great portrait lens with the fantastic large aperture of 1.5
T stops as opposed to F stops, let in a little more light and are more accurate in regards to the exact amount of light that is let in. This lens created beautiful bokeh.

85mm is also the perfect focal length for portraits.
