This is the successor to the infamous HURT LOCKER lens (8-64mm). The Canon 7-63 is legendary and only IMPROVES upon the previous iteration with a slightly wider field of view. And of course, WAY BETTER ERGONOMICS. If you like the 8-64, you will be blow away by this lens.
In essence, a gorgeous, lightweight, SUPER ergonomic, shoot all day vintage zoom. This is the most ERGONOMIC zoom I have ever used.
SUPER sharp, incredible close-focus, and virtually NO FOCUS BREATHING. Has a custom gear added to the zoom ring, which makes it VERY EASY to zoom while operating. It's a nice touch to an already perfectly ergonomic lens.
Lens comes with a custom matte box (4x4) made specifically for this lens by Panavision.
