Sennheiser MKE-600 Shotgun Microphone

This compact shotgun mic is ideal for DSLR or videography shooting. It's a very directional offering from Sennheiser, so what you point at is what you're going to hear. Supports phantom and battery power, and with the low cut filter you can cut down on some wind noise if you're shooting out doors.

Owner Notes:

(from B&H): "The MKE 600 is designed for use with a camcorder or video DSLR. With its high level of directivity, the microphone focuses on the sounds in front of the camera, while attenuating unwanted off-axis sound. The MKE 600 can be phantom powered or operated on an AA battery for about 150 hours. An integrated camera shoe provides convenient on-camera mounting. The rugged and all-metal housing means the microphone will function perfectly in outdoor recording situations. "

(from me): I love this microphone. It does everything I need whether I put it on a boom or on top of my DSLR, or even just use it for field recordings. Sounds great, and especially goes perfectly when mixing it with a lav mic.
