Ron Elliot entered the entertainment world over 18 years ago. His love of music landed him one of his first jobs in this industry with the Promotions Department at Def Jam Records. A few years after, he ventured into film and has been immersed in that branch of entertainment since then. He went on to be a part of the team that won the 2000 Gordon E. Sawyer Academy Award for Technical Advancement in Film—awarded to Irwin Young, proprietor of the DuArt Film & Video Company. Also included in his credits is a 2007 Emmy for The Best Community Service Campaign for "Reflections", a film Directed by Gina Blythewood, about adolescents navigating romantic relationships to avoid the risk of HIV/AIDS—awarded to the collaboration of Scenarios USA, BET’s Rap-It-Up Campaign, and the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Within the past few years, some of his recent works have earned recognition at major film festivals within the United States and abroad, including Cannes Film Festival (2015), Palm Beach International Film Festival (2015), Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival (2015), Garden State Film Festival (2014), and American Black Film Festival (2012).
Mr. Elliot is a US Air Force Gulf War Veteran who has turned his service and passion for humanity towards the art of storytelling. As a result, he desires and endeavors to be a part of many cutting edge film and television productions.
