Jason Polevoi is a producer, director, editor, and founding partner of the Chicago-based production company One City Films. His previous credits include the 2021 Slamdance premiere A TINY RIPPLE OF HOPE, called "riveting and powerful" by the Chicago Tribune, and the 2019 Chicago/Midwest Emmy-winning short F*** YOUR HAIR, featured in the New Yorker, Esquire, and NPR's Weekend Edition.

Jason is currently in various stages of production on three films including THE FIRST, a feature documentary chronicling the race for America's longest-held African American Congressional seat, BARELY LEGAL, a scandalous true-crime feature that charts the massively successful financial blackmail schemes of the world's most infamous copyright trolls, and MARKED IN ADVANCE, a work of advocacy on behalf of a wrongfully incarcerated man in the Illinois prison system.
