I've been shooting professionally for 10 years now, and enjoy teaching Photoshop and Lightroom as well. While my pro work is mostly architectural and product, I love shooting landscapes.

Rode VideoMic

Purchased to use with the Canon 5D Mk II, this shotgun mic is a MUCH better option for recording in-camera audio than the built-in mic. If you're planning on shooting any video with my 5DII, then I highly recommend getting this as an add-on.

Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L

Excellent color and sharpness with this flexible lens -- image stabilization is a nice convenience if you're shooting handheld. The f/2.8 aperture allows for fast shutter speeds to freeze action. Of course, if you're looking at this, you already know this is the lens you want. Comes with end caps and lens hood.

Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM

Incredibly wide, especially when paired with a full-frame sensor like my 5DMkII, this lens has great sharpness and color with little to no chromatic aberration. Lightweight, easy to use, and high-quality. Comes with end caps and lens hood.

Canon 1D Mk III body

No longer the newest or flashiest of the Canon bodies, the 1DMkIII is still reliable, durable and fast. This uses the 1.3 crop factor (APS-H), so your telephoto lenses are that much longer. It comes with an extra battery and, if you use a Really Right Stuff ballhead, I'll leave the RRS L-clamp installed (see photo).

Alan is always great to deal with and plan pickup/drop-off's with. Quality gear and a quality renter!

Always a please and would definitely rent from again!

As always, very friendly and helpful. I've only rented camera bodies from him and will continue to rent from him based on professionalism.

Alan was super easy to rent from. I highly recommend renting gear from him, as he's very easy to get a hold of as well as being extremely flexible to meet for pickup/drop off. Plus, he's also very knowledgable about photography. I plan on renting from Alan again in the future, his gear is very clean and in great condition.

Thought I had written a review, maybe it didn't go through..ah, technology! Either way, Alan is super easy to work with. While shooting an event, the hood of the lens bounced off (I was on a truck) and I couldn't find it. Alan let me pay for the new hood (although I felt terrible), and we took care of it. I highly recommend renting from Alan.

Would I rent from Alan again? How's next week sound? I really appreciate his professionalism and courtesy. Easy to work with and would highly recommend renting his gear.

Really flexible with rental of equipment and meet up times. Has been a huge help as I expand into photography.
