I'm a director, editor, writer, producer, shooter and all around cine-geek, living & working in Los Angeles and sometimes New York. I spend way too much time reading about HDR cinematography and post workflows, waxing on about LOST HIGHWAY, DRESSED TO KILL, THE RED SHOES, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, and EXORCIST II: THE HERETIC and why Sensurround was actually pretty cool.
In 2015, I edited 54: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and is now on Blu-Ray, DVD, VOD, iTunes, Amazon, Vudu and continues to play all over the world. This new and vastly different version of the 1998 film includes 44 minutes of footage not seen in the theatrical release and it took six months to recut, restore and reconstruct. The Blu-Ray contains a behind-the-scenes doc called "If You Could Read My Mind" which I produced and edited (and appear in!), talking about what it took to make 54:TDC.
In 2009 I wrote, directed and co-edited my first feature film PORNOGRAPHY: A THRILLER, which screened at over 25 film festivals, got a small theatrical release in 2010 and is available on DVD and VOD in the US, UK, France & Germany. Check out the official site: www.pornographyathriller.com.
In addition to writing/producing/directing/editing hundreds of promos, sizzles, commercials, branded content pieces, online pieces and interstitials for places like NBC, AMC, TBS, FX, FXX, Versus, Logo, USA, Showtime, Bravo, IFC, Disney Channel, Sportsman Channel and SundanceTV, I've also written and directed two award-winning short films that played at dozens of festivals: "Fairy Tale" and "Target Audience" (the latter of which was a Teddy award nominee at the Berlin Film Festival).
I work out a few times a week, listen to Nine Inch Nails a lot and pretty strongly believe the announced remake of VIDEODROME is a terrible idea.
