As a kid I spent most of my time drawing, skateboarding and playing video games with friends. Skateboarding kind of took over my life during my teen years and enlightened my sense of surrounding. Stairs, loading docks, parking lots, and hills all took on new meaning.
Without realizing it, skateboarding conditioned me to look at not only my surroundings differently, but just about everything else. It led me to pick up a camera and basically helped me launch a career in the long run. I learned all about perseverance, dedication, and the whole mantra of, “one more try,” and today I apply that to everything I do.
As a senior in high school, I landed my first gig working for a boutique digital agency in NJ. I worked alongside a team creating content for Muscle Maker Grill and Devotion Vodka. That experience led me into live events where I spent the next five years shooting video and editing for Groove, the fastest growing dance competition in America. Outside of that, I was freelancing as a PA for Itchy House Films gaining indispensable on-set experience for artists like Meek Mill, Ace Hood, and French Montana.
Today, I work at productionglue, a live events company, handling their in-house photo/video content creation as well as assisting with web and social needs. Every day consists of keeping up with the latest photo, video, and marketing news/trends along with capturing a wide array of brand experiences, experiential activations, concerts and happenings around our offices. All of which is used to create videos, sizzle reels and case studies to help aide business development and marketing.
