My name is Jay Snap and I started commercial photography about 7 years ago due to the increasing demand of my work and my ability to use subliminal social marketing to ensure images captured are remembered for years to come. I started photography as a hobby about when I was 7 years old. I used to take photographs using a Kodak 110 Camera. Later used a G Yashika Film camera, then used a Canon T60 for Asian Markets only. Outgrowing the technology over age I use Full Format Digital SLR Cameras and super sharp lenses to capture “LIFE!”
Apart from editorials, fashion and product shoots, I have been well published in Hola! Morac/Europe, La Rev, Rouge, Vogue Italia, DC Modern Luxury, Washington Life Magazine, The Platform Magazine, Visual Artistry Magazine, What Do I Wear and many more. I have been commissioned by City of Rome, Italy, Canada, Hola! Morac, DC Modern Luxury, Washington Life Magazine, The Platform Magazine, Microsoft, Dreams for Kids, Fair Girls – Pearls of Purpose, Georgian Embassy, Embassy of Austria, HOT 99.5, Knockout Abuse, HiBall Events, FotoWeek DC, Imagination Stage and After School Dance Fund are just to name a few.
In July 2015, Jay Snap organized DC’s first ever multi day swim wear fashion show which received press from over 15 media outlets and publications from around the world.
Often times I gladly work with Charitable organizations in raising funds by photographing for their cause at events, or donating a portion of the proceeds from print/canvas sales.
