Jessica Bal is a freelance multimedia journalist based in Brooklyn. Her work has been published by The New York Times, The Miami Herald, Narratively, The Boston Globe, City Limits, and others. She spent two years working for the long-form storytelling site Narratively and received her master's degree from CUNY Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
