Multi-platform artist Josh Rothstein is equally at home directing motion pictures or still photographs. From the start, Josh has toggled between both mediums, using them in combination even, to reveal the subjects he strives to portray. Over his seventeen year career Josh has sought out creative opportunities that, whether commercial or documentary, are all rooted in his passion for storytelling. Commercial clients include brands such as Puma, Samsung, HP, Disney, Square Space, Dell, Jack Daniels, Kenneth Cole and Mastercard. His portrait photography features some of the music industry’s top artists including Jack White, Sean Combs, John Legend, Ceelo Green, and Steven Tyler. Josh’s most recent film, “Dukale’s Dream”, which won Best Documentary Feature Premiere at the Heartland Film Festival, is the inspirational story behind Hugh Jackman's coffee company, Laughing Man Worldwide, and Hugh’s partnership and friendship with an Ethiopia farmer. Josh has directed two additional feature length documentaries. “The Excellent Theopolis” highlighted legendary street musician, Theopolis Coburn. ”3 Points,” is about the plight of Darfur refugees told through the revelatory experience of NBA all-star Tracy McGrady during his visit to that region.
