Hi! My name is Aki, I'm a freelance photographer in Brooklyn, originally from the Pacific Northwest. The best part of photographing, to me, is the connection I'm able to make with new people and the unexpected friendships that sometimes come out of a shoot. I bring my camera with me everywhere, so a lot of my photos are just a glimpse into my weird life and all of the amazing friends sprinkled in there! As a former social worker and organizer, a lot of my work centers around storytelling and identity, and I hope to grow as a documentary photographer as well.
