Matthew McKenna is the Sr. Systems Director and adjunct faculty member for the BFA Computer Art, Animation, and Visual Effects program at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. He earned his B.A. from Baldwin Wallace University and his M.Ed. from Kent State University. At SVA, McKenna has managed projects ranging from studio, classroom and infrastructure renovations to production management for all student thesis films. During McKenna’s time at SVA, the BFA Computer Art, Animation, and Visual Effects program has produced multiple Student Academy Award winning films. Prior to SVA, he designed and implemented all of the technology for the Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman Cinema Studies Center for Media Education and Production at Oberlin College.
