Midwest born and raised, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.A. in Film and African Studies. Shortly after, I embarked upon a 4-month backpacking and blogging trip through Kenya, South Africa, and Europe. When I came home, I was inspired... and broke. So I worked double shifts at a vodkatorium and lived in a turkey blind in my brother’s basement for nine months — just enough time to save barely enough money to move to New York City in the fall of 2012.

I initially interned at several production companies, including Scott Rudin Productions and Gigantic Pictures. I subsequently served as an Associate Producer on the international co- production, SINS OF A FATHER, and co-wrote MOMMY'S BOX, a dramatic feature that finished production in late 2014. I also wrote and produced BLAME, a short film featuring a unique perspective to a school shooting. My historical drama pilot, ’57 CENTRAL, was shortlisted as a Top 5 finalist in the Fox Dramatic Script Call competition and was previously under option by LA-based production company, Echo Lake Productions.

My most recent project was collaborating with actress/writer Jessica Sherr to adapt her successful one-woman Bette Davis play, "Ain’t for Sissies", into the feature script, BETTE. I was also a Semifinalist for the CineStory TV Fellowship for this year (2019) and made my directorial debut in March 2019 with the short comedy film, WICKED IMAGE.
