David Carrera, born in Trinidad and raised in Brooklyn, vastly made a name for himself as a successful photographer in NYC and later branching off to video and design. With over 7 years in the industry, David is mostly known for his tastefully dark horror photos along with his unique portrait and fashion shots. He is also known for being a great story teller when it comes to video. Although he studied computer engineering in school, he quickly realized he wanted to work in a more creative and engaging field. David started working in the visual and fashion industry. Continuing his pursuit for creative work, he took on photography and video. Starting with working in the music industry producing, shooting and editing content for new artists to keep fans engaged. Shooting artist such as Rick Ross, Range, Busta Rhymes, Machel Montano, Rich Lowe, Que formerly of Day26, MTV sweet 16 siblings Darnell and Leanetta Robinson, his talent is certainly undeniable. Branching off and creating my his own company, he broadened his focus to include documentaries, music videos, company profiles and design. Later on he was recruited to head the video department at a market research company, which brought together his passion for creativity and love for consumer insight. There he was able to find creative ways to capture and deliver research all the while gaining knowledge on consumer behavior.
