The CamRanger is a stand-alone device that connects to many Canon / Nikon DSLR cameras via USB cable, enabling advanced remote camera operation. Using an iOS device with the free CamRanger iOS app installed, you’re enabled advanced control of the camera. Since it creates an ad-hoc WiFi network, there is no need for a computer or existing Internet connection. With the app, you can wirelessly stream live view, change a variety of exposure and camera settings, and capture full resolution images. In addition, there’s an HDR / Advanced bracketing mode, Intervalometer and Bulb mode for setting up time lapses, and Automated Focus Stacking for detailed macro shooting. Also, on compatible video-enabled cameras, you can start / stop movie recording, manually adjust focus, all while viewing while recording. The CamRanger is powered by a rechargeable battery that lasts 3-6 hours under heavy use, or up to 11 hours in intervalometer mode.
