Canon 7D Body Kit

Description

Canon helped usher in the DSLR revolution with this 18-megapixel APS-C format CMOS sensor. It may not be full frame, but it still makes for compelling images. And it's true that video recording is capped at 12 minutes per clip, but for the price point, you won't find this quality of 1080p camera any cheaper. Plus you can do 60 frames at full 1080p!

Owner's Notes

Unfortuantely, the product description isn't being fully honest (but I don't know how to change it), the Canon 7D (the original) can shoot 60fps in 720p, NOT 1080p. Hopefully Kitsplit will update that

This camera was, and frankly, still is a beast. If you're shooting in a run-and-gun situation, witching between stills and video, this camera will serve you well. I've never had to second guess my camera while shooting weddings or documentaries, swapping back and forth between stills and video at a moments notice.

If you have a quick turn around time, the 7D's colors will make you very happy, requiring very little grading (as opposed to shooting raw, or log on other cameras). As a stills camera, this is an absolute beast when it comes to sports, or events, any time when a fast burst rate is beneficial.
