This kit is a good beginner set of continuous lights. The case is roomy and easily holds the two lights and stands as well as another stand and some umbrellas I already had. The stands are heavy and very sturdy, although I wish I could lower the stand a little more if I am using the light as a fill light. I like the option to be able to adjust the amount of light you are using. There are three light bulbs with separate switches so you can have either one, two or all three lights on. The power cord plugs into the back, but you have to be careful, it easily comes loose from the back of the light. Also, my light set came with the European plug rather than the U.S. I had to go to Radio Shack and buy two adapters for about $27. Overall, I think the lights are great, I bought mine used and they also came with two white umbrellas. This kit is everything you need to get started with a basic photography lighting set-up. Another caution is the light bulbs. I have a 500W photoflood that seems to put out more light than one of these with all three lights on. I am also going to check into other light bulbs because these are more orange than my other photoflood. I am a photography student and have been using the lights pretty hard. I don't have any major complaints so far.
