The legs' tension-adjustable locking levers can be tightened to counteract any effects of wear and aging, keeping the tripod fully functional throughout its long life. Two-position leg angle settings make low-angle shooting possible, and a rapid center column adds flexibility and extends the min-max height range. An 'anti-shock' rubber collar at the top of the center column protects the camera if the extended column is left unlocked and drops accidentally. With the handles folded and running parallel, the head's dimensions are dramatically reduced, so it takes up less space when packed, and is easier and less cumbersome to carry, on or off the tripod.
