The GH4 offers a variety of recording formats, including AVCHD, AVCHD Progressive, 200 Mbps All-Intra, 100 Mpbs IPB MOV, and MP4 formats. Internally, the camera records 4:2:0 8-bit and you can send out 4:2:2 8-bit via the HDMI.
The GH4 offers a variety of frame rates, up to 60 fps in full HD. The camera can also shoot even higher frame rates in variable slow motion, up to 96fps. However, it should be noted that at 96 fps the camera line-skips and pixel bins more aggressively, resulting in a softer image that may have some moire and aliasing issues.
