This incredible manual lens was passed down to me by my father. I have an EF mount adapter for use with Canon bodies, as it is a screw mount. Super soft and even bokeh at f/1.8, incredibly sharp images, flare-resistance, warm coating, very sharp even at shallowest depth of field. The Japanese manufactured Super-Takumar series was once regarded as the top product of lens design and production. At that time, manufacturers were allowed to use radioactive compounds to get the glass so sharp that it could capture specific refractions of light (this type of manufacturing obviously not allowed anymore hehe). This period was also characterized by active development of anti-reflective coatings, the introduction of multi-coatings, as well as coverage of all internal & external lens surfaces.

If you're curious to see some work, it's not a rare lens, just google it and you'll see some beautiful stuff out there, both video and film!
