Steve is a LA based cinematographer whose hard-hitting drama about skate-punk gangs in Cleveland, THE LAND, premiered at the 2016 SUNDANCE Film Festival and was picked up by IFC.
He shot the Netflix Docu-Series FIRE CHASERS, about front-line fire fighters during the dramatic 2016 SoCal wildfires. Holleran just wrapped the political drama A BOY, A GIRL, A DREAM starring Omari Hardwick and Megan Good, and also shot on the controversial HBO pilot MOGADISHU, MINNESOTA.
Steve was one of the first DPs to shoot in a newly opened-up Cuba where he did the pilot MECCA for Playboy Channel. He also lensed TRYING NOT TO EXPLODE, a 2015 Nashville Film Festival Winner.
He has an MFA in Cinematography from USC and is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow awardee which inspired Steve's first feature. For that project he spent a year backpacking through costal communities in Samoa, Chile, and New Zealand documenting the impacts of commercial over-fishing in the South Pacific.
