Theodore Schaefer is a New York City based Filmmaker. He received his Bachelor of
Fine Arts at Syracuse University. While working as a first assistant director on films like
Five Star (Tribeca Film Festival 2014), Theodore directed several short films, including
Potter’s Field starring Eric Roberts and Singing to the Earth Until a Tree Grows.
Theodore now co-writes and directs original content for the Huffington Post. His most
recent short, The Zeno Question, won a grant from the David Ross Fetzer Foundation
for Emerging Artists. In 2014 he began a fruitful collaboration with poet Patrick Lawler;
together they’ve written several short and feature films, many of which they have
produced or are in the process of producing.
