I make short and feature length documentaries, most often in the role of cinematographer & colorist, sometimes as director/producer too. I own a range of production equipment optimized around having to pack light and move fast for documentary shooting. I have lots of odds and ends to customize things if needed, and also some space to setup and test equipment.

OWNER NOTES

The Wasp 1000 Plasma Par is equivalent to 1800 Watt HMI, yet it only draws 1000 watts (9.5 amps) so you can easily plug it into any home outlet without worrying about drawing too much power and tripping the breaker.
The light quality is great with a color temp of 6000K and zero green/magenta shift.
It runs cooler than HMI, so you won't melt your gels or fry your talent even when close to the light.
It's 100% flicker free, ideal for high frame rate (slow motion) shooting.
There is a fan in the lamp head itself, so when audio is crucial, it's best used either through a window or from a distance.

Rayzr 7 300W Daylight LED Fresnel w/ Softbox, Stand, Sandbags & Extension

Includes: Softbox , Gels, C-stand

More

INCLUDES

  • Softbox
  • Gels
  • C-stand
  • 25' Extension Cord
  • 2x 15# sandbag

OWNER NOTES

The Rayzr 7 - 7" 300W Daylight LED Fresnel offers a total power output of 300W at 5600K with a beam angle of 18° to 50°. The light output is roughly equivalent to 575 watt HMI fresnel, but it's cool to the touch, doesn't flicker, is fully dimmable so you don't have to mess with scrims, and at just 14 pounds total it's a lot less weight to carry.

The Rayzr 7 has been extremely useful on documentary shoots when I need more punch, yet don't have a crew or location that can handle the heat and/or power requirements of large tungsten or HMI. I've been very pleased with the light quality and color.

Rayzr 7 features:
Flicker-free operation up to 15,000 fps
98 TLCI
Even and uniform light beam
Full control over light beam shaping
Built-in DMX

In addition to the 7" LED Fresnel, the package includes:
4-leaf barndoor
Travel case
Softbox
2x 15# sandbags
C-stand
25' extension cord
Set of 7" gel circles that can simply be placed right onto the fresnel lens - 1/8 CTS, 1/4 CTS, 1/2 CTS, Full CTS, 1/8 CT0, 1/4 CTO, 1/2 CTO, Full CTO, 1/8 CTB, 1/4 CTB, 1/2 CTB, Full CTB
