The Ultimate FX9 Kit for the High-end Professional - A Fully Comprehensive Setup

NOTE: Placeholder photo, the Canon and Ninja V+ are not included Hello and thank you for checking out what I feel is the most capable and complete FX9 offering on KitSplit. This FX9 kit can allow any camera operator, cinematographer, or director of photography to walk into practically any production environment, become a huge asset, and provide the absolute best outcome that they can. It covers many needs that most rentals often ignore as well as a few non-camera related things that are nonetheless vital to a successful production. I am certain after reading through the list, you will see how this goes above and beyond just a mere camera rental. 1. The Camera The camera is highly accessorized. It comes with: • XDCA-FX9 Extension unit (enables 12-bit RAW out via SDI and V-mount battery capability, amongst other things) • 3 Core SWX Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh batteries along with travel charger (with proper rotation, they will last an entire day of shooting) • 100W XLR Power Supply w/25 ft XLR-4 extension (can power the entire camera with enough overhead for LEMO and DTAP accessories, great for use in studio or closed sets) • 2 256 GB Sony XQD cards w/Sony XQD Reader (many rentals do not include the reader even though most non-FX9 owners likely do not own one) • Nanlite LitoLite 5C RGB Mini Panel (rechargeable RGB on-camera light) 2. The Rig All the rigging mods are very high-end: • SHAPE FX9 Camera Cage with Handle, Remote Extension Kit, L-shape Top Handle, Viewfinder Mount (the best cage/camera rig of them all IMO; the best setup for shoulder operators) • Vocas Microphone holder (shock mount for the shotgun mic) • SmallRig Cable Clamp for Trigger Handle (best tool-less option) • Zacuto Z-Finder (sharper and greater magnification) 3. The Lens • Sony FE PZ 28-135mm f/4 G OSS (the standard lens; comes with a Tiffen 1/8 Black Pro Mist filter and Circular Polarizing filter, and a NiSi Night Filter) • Several Canon L-Series EF lenses with adapter are available! (primes and zooms) • Sony FE C 16-35mm T3.1 G available by request (a much better hybrid cine lens, at the cost of focal length) 4. The Audio • Sennheiser MKH 416 (industry standard cardioid shotgun mic; Rycote softie available upon request) • Sony MDR-7506 (widely used monitor headphones) • Sony URX-S03D Slot-In Wireless Receiver (Makes full use of extension unit capabilities; automatically pairs on clean spectrum/channels; is UC14, the best band for Los Angeles) • 2 Sony UTX-B40 bodypacks with lavaliers (UC14) • UTX-M40 handheld mic available on request 5. The Tripod A proper video tripod setup makes all the difference: • E-Image/Ikan GC102 2-stage carbon fiber tripod (lightweight; has spreader) • E-Image/Ikan GH15 head w/handle • SHAPE VCT Tripod Plate • E-Image dolly • Sony RM1BP Remote Commander LANC controller (clamps to fluid head handle; enables pans, tilts, zooms, focusing, and start/stop recording with one hand! A must-have) 6. The Extras This kit will enable you to adapt to many production needs and fill in several gaps here and there: • A 15 ft CAT6a RJ45 cable (for use with the camera's network features enabled by the extension unit) • A 15 ft HDMI CL2 4Kp60 HDR 4:4:4 cable (for monitors; HDR cable enables LUTs to be used) • A 15 ft 12G-SDI cable (for monitors and other broadcast ops) • A 65' soft tape measure (for measuring distance to subjects for lighting and focus; safest and most accurate) • A Bosch laser measure (for measuring distance to subjects for lighting and focus; faster though laser is not intrinsically safe) • A Klein rechargeable 2-stage flashlight with laser pointer and magnetic end (great for navigating darker sets) • An Ansmann battery charger with 8x AA (four loaded into bodypacks) and 4x AAA rechargeable batteries (useful for an endless number of things) • A Birns & Sawyer insert clapperboard with color clappers (great to use in a pinch or if producer forgot theirs :P) • A ColorChecker Passport Video (another tool for the distinguished pro; makes grading in post and matching sources extremely simple) • A Rocket-Air blower, Zeiss lens cleaning fluid and wipes, and a LensPen (for field cleaning of the lens and viewfinder) • An L-308X-U Flashmate light meter (useful for many things, mainly to assist with certain exposure scenarios) • (Optional, no extra charge) A set of 3 GVM 1500D RGB panels with 6 NP-F970 batteries and gaffer tape (great as a backup option or for having an option to light interior scenes; come with diffusers; batteries can enable around two hours’ worth operation, give or take) ALL of the above (except the tripod and lights) are condensed to a single Pelican 1620 case for easy transport. Whether you are an established broadcast/film professional who needs a full rig to carry a high-end production or an indie filmmaker looking for a one-stop shop to get their project off the ground or a solo shooter who needs the most versatile setup for your projects, no need shall go unmet with this kit.
