I am a visual activist and a photographer based in New York City.
Examining areas such as refugee crisis, gender role stereotypes and human rights, Adela’s projects transform contemporary social issues into visual concepts with which she hopes to incite questions, explore and nurture empathy and raise awareness to contribute to change. Taking a step beyond challenging the ingrained convictions, her work includes interactive elements immersing the viewers and encouraging them to participate in a discussion.
