I am a union videographer and editor for Channel 11 (WPIX) in New York City. I'm also the Director of Photography for Drum Circle Media, and you can see some of my work at www.russellmidori.com. I might charge a little more than others on Kitsplit, but my gear is meticulously maintained and expertly organized. When you pick up a kit from me, you're going to find it all functioning well and secured in a logical, easy-to-grab place. I account for every item, so you won't be missing charge cables or lens caps. If you rent from me, I'll be available to you day or night through the course of your rental in case you have questions or need something else. The James Bond Kit

Lightweight 1080 camera and gimbal setup with dual channel audio. The A7ii and the Zhiyun crane are the Johnny and June of doc production; they were built for each other. The 24mm Prime lens balances effortlessly on this system. This kit is perfect for capturing smooth, sleek footage of scenes. I use it for a B-cam, but the Saramonic lav mics also allow you to mic up two subjects for A-cam footage and you can swivel back and forth with the gimbal if you like. It's also such a lightweight setup that you can move easily between shots with unlimited speed. It all packs up neatly into a single bag. I take it everywhere. The Artisan Kit is built for heavyweight documentary storytelling on a lightweight budget. The gear is small, so it doesn't feel intrusive to the subject, but it's powerful enough to produce something tremendous. I've shot dozens of interviews for CBS News with this camera and I love that people don't feel bothered by the presence of a large camera. It opens them up to more authentic conversations. The A7ii has a great sensor for lowlight shoots and and takes in audio as well as its big brothers. It's ideal for shooting an interview or a natural scene with either of two brilliant prime lenses and crystal clear Sennheiser audio. It comes with a large lowepro camera bag that can be substituted for a pelican with dividers.

This lens is crystal clear and the focus and T stop rings are buttery smooth. It performs exceptionally in low light and adds a beautiful cinematic sharpness to my documentary and branded content videos. I got rid of my more expensive Zeiss lenses when I found the Rokinon Cine line. Rokinon has maybe 95 percent of the optical performance of Zeiss in terms of edge sharpness, but that extra five percent on the Zeiss lenses made my subjects look hyper-realistic and a little ugly. The Rokinon Cine line is pound for pound the best lens in the business.
