I'm Patrick Thompson - owner and lead creative at Muse Lighting Design. My main work is in live events... Theater, concerts, corporate events, galas, etc.

Most live lighting principles (and modern live lighting gear) co-exist on the line between live and film. They have to. There's virtually no live events without a video component involved. All of my lighting gear is LED and flicker free (unless you're shooting at extreme frame rates or weird shutter speed) -- and even then, some of my fixtures can adjust their PWM to get rid of on-camera banding and flicker.

I'm passionate about art and color. If you look at my gear list, you'll recognize that. ;)

I'm also extremely passionate about support and customer service. I'll ask if you've used something before - and I'll make sure you know how to operate it... So you can take care of my gear - and my gear will take care of you. In most cases, I'm available for a call or text if you have any questions or problems.

The first color-tunable LED bulb for professional film, stage and event productions. Not bigger than a normal LED bulb, it contains a CRMX receiver as well as RF and Bluetooth modules for the AsteraApp. It can be powered via lamp socket or with a standard power bank and thanks to its Titan LED engine it displays precise colors and white tones with ultra-high CRI and TLCI.

Controlled in Astera Standalone mode, app control via Art7 Transmitter (recommended - but rented separately) , or individually controlled through the Power Station.

Included cup bouncers are to mount on top of the bulb when the bulb is being used as a lamp \ practical to re-direct some light into the lamp shade.

Can be powered by screwing into a powered US (E26) standard lamp socket, through the included Power Station, or through a 5-18VDC, 2.1A USB power bank with included USB cables.

We recommend researching and understanding these lighting fixtures prior to pickup date.

They can work as uplights or other lighting for background texture. Use them as eye candy in music videos. The possibilities are wide open.

They can be turned on\off and changed a a limited number of colors via the onboard button. If you need specific colors, more control, you'll need to rent my ART7 transmitter which can be controlled through your phone, tablet, or a DMX controller.

*** Lights on FULL will last about 5 hours. Do not let them go completely dead. Lights MUST be recharged at the end of the day. Failure to do so will damage lights. Lights are rated to last up to 20 hours by adjusting settings via app and Art7.
