Alex is a native of East Germany with over 14 years of professional photography and filmmaking experience.
He currently resides in South Carolina with his wife, a military veteran and dentist, and two daughters. Through his video production company Ost Haus, Alex works primarily in documentary photography and film, for which he has been recognized with multiple awards. From outdoor adventure documentaries capturing historic feats such as when Zoe Romano became the first human to complete the Tour de France by foot to photography and video shoots for the Palmetto Trail, Alex has an ability to connect to the subject matter in a deep and meaningful way.

After recently completing a documentary on the Seven Wonders of South Carolina, Alex has taken on a new role as full time parent to his two beautiful daughters, Nala (2) and Sasha (7 months).

He enjoys working on the kinds of projects that incorporate adventure, storytelling, and more recently, his children, and the exciting challenge that comes with combining those worlds.
