Nikon decided to give the Canon 5D series a run for its money with this DSLR entry. And it has a beautiful CMOS FX Format Sensor that gets a resolution of 36.3Mp! It hasn't stormed the industry the way the 5D did, but it still has many uses, especially for still photography where it remains popular.
