The Velodyne HDL-32E is a laser scanner capable of creating 3D digital snapshots of its surroundings. With an IP67 EP rating, the scanner can be operated in nearly any environment under any weather conditions. Mounting holes on the sensor allow for adaptation to static fixtures, automobiles, drones, watercraft and any vehicle that can support the sensor's weight and power requirements. Raw data from the sensor is in the form of UDP packets but can be converted to a variety of other formats using freely available software. The laptop and software in the picture are not included by default (please ask for more details). Below are some additional hardware details:

* 5 Hz - 20 Hz rotation rate with up to 695,000 points captured per second
* 100 m range with +-2 cm accuracy
* 41.33 degree vertical field of view (10.67 degrees to -30.67 degrees)
* 360 degree horizontal field of view
* 32 vertical laser channels
* 1.33 degree vertical resolution
* 0.1 - 0.4 degree horizontal resolution
* Laser classification: Class 1 Eye-safe per IEC 60825-1:2007 & 2014
* Four 10-32 threaded mounting holes
