Timothy had me meet him at 5pm at a location he was filming at. After waiting outside for 15 minutes, he sent a PA out to deliver the gear. Upon inspection, it was the wrong piece of equipment. The PA went back inside, Timothy came out and told me he would send the right piece of equipment in a messenger service because it was at his house. He was very apologetic and told me he would only bill for 1 of the 2 days I was renting his equipment.

At 9pm, I hadn’t heard from him, so I called and got no answer. Finally, at 9:30 Timothy texted me back that the gear was in an Uber. Sure enough, 20 minutes later, the right gear had arrived and I was finally able to start preparing a camera build for my shoot the next morning.

Is Timothy an honest person? Absolutely. He gave me a 50% discount for his mistake and was genuinely apologetic. His equipment was in working order and the kit was as advertised. Would I rent from him again? No. He seems too busy with his personal shoots to effectively rent the gear that he has listed. Next time I’ll just try to find someone else.

Not pleasant experience. Passive aggressive reaction from the owner that was not honest on communicating minor problems he find out with the equipment. For example he made a big deal for some duct tape of the equipment.
I wont rent again since he was looking to blame for nothing rather than to help out
